Paper se zabývá ekonomickou teorií Miltona Friedmana. První část načrtává život Miltona Friedmana. Druhá část zkoumá jeho ekonomickou teorii, jak byla rozvinuta v Esejích o pozitivní ekonomii (1953), Studiích o kvantitativní teorii peněz (1956), Teorii spotřební funkce (1957), Monetární historii USA 1897-1960 (1963) a Cenové teorii (1976). Diskutovány jsou jeho nobelovská přednáška a řeč v Americké ekonomické asociaci z roku 1967. Třetí část analyzuje Friedmanovu metodologii. Milton Friedman byl nejvlivnějším ekonomem druhé poloviny 20. století. Proslavil se teoretickým a empirickým výzkumem, zvláště analýzou spotřeby, měnovou historií a teorií a ukázkou složitosti stabilizační politiky.
