Integrated Study Information System (ISIS)
The University of Economics, Prague is going to introduce a new Integrated Study Information System. The goal is to integrate recent particular and separate applications of the agenda into one united portal with one password.
The UEP has decided, based upon the results of public contests, for an already well-established solution made at Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brno (MUAF). This information system has already been successfully functioning for several years at MUAF, and is also used by a number of other universities in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
ISIS covers all key functions, which a university might need. There you find everything from registrations to inscriptions, from supplying of requests, managing scholarships, to submitting of a thesis. The main advantage of the system is that any change made in one part of the system will be automatically submitted to the rest of the system. Another advantage of ISIS is a single entrance password.
The implementation of ISIS is scheduled for winter semester 2008, but the system will not work fully from the beginning. In the first phase, the system for e-mails will not be in operation, but the full system will be launched over the following several months.
