VŠE again awarded as the “1st Business School in the Eastern European Zone”
In the EDUNIVERSAL international selection of business schools, the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) again took first place in the Central and Eastern European region.
VŠE also received this award in 2008. Eleven of VŠE\’s partner universities belong among the 27 schools receiving awards in 2009; these institutions come from nine different regions.
Ms. Daniela Slušová accepted the award on VŠE\’s behalf in Cape Town, South Africa. In addition to receiving the title "1st Business School in the Eastern European Zone" VŠE also received the highest possible evaluation of five palms, which represent the international appreciation of the school.
Among the evaluation criteria are e.g.: the international influence and reputation of the school, quality of educational programs, quality of teachers, awards received by the school, accreditations received by the school on both national and international levels, main classifications results, and participation in international associations and organizations. The schools are evaluated by an International Scientific Committee, and by representatives of 1 000 universities (i.e. deans, vice-presidents or presidents).
VŠE seeks cooperation with high-quality partner universities. All awarded European schools have agreements concluded with VŠE on student exchanges; on the American continent, three partner universities also succeeded.
