The University of Economics, Prague was declared the best “business school” in the Eastern Europe zone for the year 2010
The University of Economics, Prague was awarded as the best business school in the Central and Eastern Europe for the third time. The university received five palms in the Eduniversal ranking, which symbolize the development of internationalisation.
The „Top 3 Best Business Schools“ were announced at the gala evening of „Eduniversal World Convention“ at Žofín, Prague on 28th October 2010. The award is the result of prestigious universities deans’ vote. The schools are divided according to the geographic aspect into nine world zones: Africa, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Eurasia and Middle East, Far Eastern Asia, Latin America, North America, Oceania and Western Europe. The aim of this award is to acknowledge the school with best results in internationalisation.
The selection of the thousand schools included in the ranking is made by an International Scientific Committee of independent experts. Schools can get the ranking of one to five palms of the „Palm Awards“ according to the votes of the Deans of selected schools and to the criteria of internationalisation. Only 100 most successful schools can be in the category „Universal Business School“ awarded with five palms independently of the region they are placed in. The five palms schools are mostly situated in the zones of Western Europe (35), North America (33) and Far Eastern Asia (15). The University of Economics, Prague and SGH Warsaw School of Management are the only two five palms schools from the Eastern Europe zone.
