VŠE and French Universities Meeting in Paris

At the Embassy of the Czech Republic in France, the meeting focusing on the topic of Czech and French Cooperation took place in Paris.

Ms. Marie Chatard, Czech Embassador in France, invited VŠE representatives together with its partner universities representatives to discuss the topic of Czech and French Cooperation within the scope of 25th anniversary celebration of ERASMUS programme.

University of Economics, Prague has cooperated with France extensively since the early 90s when French – Czech Institute of Management (Institut Franco-Tch?que de Gestion, IFTG) was founded. Its key objective is the education of Francophone managers with the frame of MBA programme (Master Management et Administration des Entreprises) at VŠE. The programme is based on cooperation of three partner universities: Jean Moulin – Lyon 3 University (Université Jean Moulin Lyon – IAE, the gradutes are awarded with its degree), Université Paris 1-Panthéon-Sorbonne (IAE Paris) and Audencia Nantes School of Management. More than 500 students have graduated in the programme since the foundation of the IFTG. The graduates work for French companies in particular.

From the perspective of the student mobility, France is the second most important VŠE destination and origin country in terms of outgoing and incoming students.  In terms of the teaching mobility, partner universities in France are the most important for VŠE. All French -Czech mobilities are organized within the framework of ERASMUS programme.
