Gathering of graduates of IFTG at the French Embassy
On the 7th September, a graduation ceremony of the 21st year of MBA program – Master Management et Administration des Entreprises – was held on the grounds of University of Economics in Prague. The graduation was attended by University Rector, Ambassador of the French Republic and the Dean of IAE Lyon. In the evening, a gathering of graduates from all years was held in Buquoy Palace.
MBA – MAE is a program, which is operated by the French-Czech Institute of Management in cooperation with IAE Lyon , IAE de Paris and Audencia Nantes. The program prepares future business executives. Students must therefore acquire knowledge from many disciplines, such as law, economics, marketing, human resource management, accounting, finance, information technology, project management and logistics. An internship in a company and a thesis written and defended in French are also required. The program is accredited in France and after meeting a series of demanding conditions, graduates acquire Diplôme d’Etat Master Management et Administration des Entreprises published by the French Ministry of Education.
This year’s ceremony was attended by all heads of the French Embassy. Diplomas were handed to graduates by prof. Ing. Richard Hindls, CSc., dr.hc, rector of University of Economics in Prague, Ambassador of the French Republic, Mr. Pierre Lévy and Dean of IAE Lyon prof. Jérôme Rive. The best grade students, Jana Slosarčíková and Lucie Neubauerová, received extraordinary honors – in French mention Très bien. Graduation ceremony was also attended by Mr. Patrick Erbs, economic counselor, cultural counselor Mr. Olivier Jacquot, Vice-Rectors of VŠE prof. Ing. Stanislava Hronová, CSc. and prof. Ing. Hana Machková, CSc., attaché for scientific and university cooperation Mr. Rachid Makhlouf and other notables.
In the evening, a traditional gathering of graduates took place at the headquarters of the French Embassy in Mala Strana. Buquoy palace is considered as one of the most beautiful embassies not only in Prague and its visit is always a great experience. More than 150 graduates and associates of the French-Czech Institute of Management were welcome by the First Counselor of the Embassy, Mr. Laurent Toulouse, who appreciated the long term benefits of IFTG for the development of Franco-Czech cooperation.
