Second Year of VŠE Talent Search

In 2011, VŠE organized its first annual contest for tallented students. The VŠE TALENT SEARCH contest  awards students´ creativity and arts skills.  All university students – including exchange students, graduates and academia staff members may apply. The competition deadline is on 23 November 2012.

Last year, Freestyle Union  and their  yo-yo, frisbee and footbag performance were awarded.  To compete, any kind of performance is eligible when done in Vencovskeho Hall and Lucerna Hall. Singing is the most common kind of performance. Last year, the winner of the singing contest was from Turkey. On the other hand, belly dance, acrobatics, dancing and comedians are covered as well.  Last year, all faculties, students and VŠE alumni were represented. Contestants’ main task shoud be to attract the attention of the audience and the jury.  Prof. Richards Hindles, VŠE President, will again be the jury’s chairman. The winner will be awarded with a cheque of 30,000 CZK by the contest’s main partner. All final  contestants will be financially awarded too.  All contestants will get an entrance ticket to the VŠE Representional Ball.

The first non-public round of the contest will take place in Vencovskeho  Hall on Saturday, November 24. Twenty contestants will make the semi-final cut.

On Thursday, 24 November 2012, the public semi-final VŠE Talent Search contest will start in Vencoveskeho Hall .  The start is planned for 7 pm.

The awarding of the VŠE TALENT SEARCH winner, as well as the top five runners-up, will take place at VŠE’s Representationl Ball  in Lucerna hall on December 5, 2012.
