The International Management / CEMS program is designed for talented graduates of bachelor’s degree programs who have an interest in international business. The program offers high academic standards and real opportunities to achieve practical skills. Cooperation with corporate partners and a unique combination of courses and study requirements enable graduates to have a lot of exposure to the business world. In addition to the Czech master’s title “Ing. “Students can receive an internationally recognized CEMS MIM certificate (Master in International Management).
The admission procedure consists of three rounds. By 22 February 2013, applicants are asked to fill in the e-application in the university’s information system (ISIS), pay the application fee and deliver the printed application, which consists of a CV and cover letter, confirmation of passing relevant courses during their bachelor’s studies and language certificates. English can be proven only with one of the required certificates; the second language (not one’s native language) may be proven by various methods (e.g. graduation from a bi-lingual high school, confirmation from a language school or university, language certificate, etc.). The documents will be then scrutinized by a selection committee and study results, English, motivation to study and work experience or any other extracurricular activities will also be evaluated.
During the second round, select applicants will be invited to the Assessment Centre. Activities at the AC consist of individual and team work, and the main aim is to see applicants’ managerial prerequisites. Attention will be paid especially to internal motivation, willingness to accept risk, stress tolerance, responsibility and flexibility, self-confidence, communication competences and assertiveness. At the end of the day, students will get individual feedback on their work at the AC. Due to the format of the second round; invited candidates must participate in person. The second round will take place during the first week in March.
The requirements of the third round consist of completing the bachelor´s studies by 8 July 2013. Studies in the International Management program will then commence in fall semester 2013.
A 2011 survey among CEMS MIM alumni shows that 95% of graduates were employed within three months of graduation, 82% work for multinational companies and 38% work for CEMS Corporate Partners.
