Orientation Week at VŠE

International Office of the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) organized the Orientation Week for incoming exchange students in spring semester of the academic year 2013/2014. This event was held from February 17 to February 23, 2014. For upcoming fall semester, the university is welcoming about 180 foreign students coming from its partner universities and 110 students coming as Freemovers.

The students were provided with the lectures about VŠE exchange program, Buddy System, Czech culture, VŠE Guided Tours and Prague guided tours. Moreover, they had the opportunity to attend the official Welcome Ceremony organized by Prof. Hana Machková, VŠE Vice-President for International Relations and PR, with the demonstration of traditional Czech Culture by folklore group Gaudeamus. 

At the end of the week, students had the possibility to attend the trips in Prague area, including visit to Prague ZOO and Prague Jewish quarter. The weekend was dedicated to “icebreaking” activities organized in out-of-Prague location by our student organization – ESN VŠE Praha Buddysystem.
