On Tuesday, 20th December, 2016, the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) will have an Open Day for all those who are interested in studying at VŠE, the largest public university of economics in the Czech Republic. Information about degree programmes as well as about student life will be provided by all 6 faculties, specialized departments as well as by current students themselves.
The joint Open Day of the University of Economics, Prague, will take place on Tuesday, 20th December in the Atrium of the Rajská building. The rich program will begin at 9 am and last until the afternoon. During this one day high school students, along with other prospective students, will have the opportunity to learn more about the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, the Faculty of International Relations, the Faculty of Business Administration, the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics, the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Management (this covers almost 30 study programs during one day). In addition, the International Degree Programmes, which are on offer at VŠE, will be presented on this day. Those interested in studying at VŠE will therefore have the opportunity to compare the study programmes on offer at the individual faculties. Many visitors may even find programmes which they had not originally considered at all.
During the course of the Open Day, high school students may discuss their questions and plans directly with their future classmates. They will learn everything about the course of study from the most competent persons. At the individual stands they will obtain information about selected student organizations, or departments that provide counselling, international stays and internships, sports activities, etc. Moreover, many of their activities can be experienced right on the spot; e.g. shooting from the electronic biathlon rifle, or a demonstration of the new forms of interactive communication in the digital media environment. Information about individual faculties will be presented at the respective stalls, as well as during presentations, which will take place in the relevant classrooms.
For those who are seeking even more information, tours around the school campus will be organized. They will run every 30 minutes, and will include a contest for prizes. Regarding the accompanying program, potential students will also have the possibility to try out the shortened form of the admission test, or get information on how to obtain an international language certificate.
