Bachelor of Economics
Faculty of Economics offers a Bachelor program Economics, which is entirely taught in English. We can offer very interesting program in diverse space; currently we do have students from more than 20 countries in it.
The main objective of this program is to create qualified professional economists who will be able to come into the public and private sectors nationally or internationally. These professionals will have a strong base in economics, legal sciences and other social disciplines with a special emphasis on international economics and politics. With a sufficient and varied base, the graduates from this program will be able to respond to the ever-changing and increasingly demanding requirements of business practices and labor markets, both nationally and internationally. The program is aimed at talented local and foreign students who want, above all, to continue in master’s programs and disciplines that are taught in English at the University of Economics, as well as students who are willing to continue their studies abroad. The standard length of study is 3 years.
Our program offers a variety of courses that are taught by well-established teachers. During the whole study period students have to obtain 180 ECTS. The mandatory program courses are for example: Statistics, Mathematics for Economists, Labor Economics, Writing Skills, Microeconomics I, Macroeconomics I, Introducing to Philosophy, Economic History, Introduction to Economic and Social Policy, Law and Economics, Introductory Econometrics, Game Theory, Public Economics, Discussion Seminar, Applied Quantitative Methods Economics of Life, etc.
Admission Requirements: Our applicants are students from all around the world who have finished their secondary Education or those who finish their High school no later than this academic year 2016/2017. Applicants have to enroll through e-application and then they have to send us package of documents to finish the Admission procedure: Letter of Motivation, Statement of English language proficiency, an Essay in English on a given economic topic and Nostrification of secondary school leaving certificate – if applicable. Admission Fee EUR 50 has to be paid with the Application. The application deadline is April 30th, 2017 – first run and August 20th, 2017 – second run¹.
¹In case we fill the whole capacity in the first run of Admission, we won’t open second run.
