Jan Borovička, student at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting
“The first Innovation Week at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting was in the spirit of all-faculty events. Our faculty decided to focus on creating interesting lectures and conferences that could attract the widest possible range of listeners. Two of the six events were prepared by student club called Klub přátel účetnictví. Both events were extremely successful – the panel discussion on the future of the economy, “Money and Inflation” filled the entire RB 101 auditorium. I believe that the summer innovation week will be at least as successful as the winter one. It was great to see what all could be accomplished in one week – over 120 events across topics.”
Klára Bradová, student at the Faculty of International Relations
“I attended many great lectures and workshops during Innovation Week. I was most interested in the presentation by Václav Strnadel on Storytelling. He impressed me with simple and useful tips on how to engage the audience during a presentation. I am sure I will use these tips often and I can’t wait to try them out. 🙂 The biggest experience of the innovation week was the Freediving workshop by CTVS. In one morning we all learned the basic techniques that allowed us to dive to a depth of 8 meters, the very bottom of the diving pool in Čestlice.”
Barbara Volfová, student at the Faculty of International Relations
“Innovation Week offered many interesting events – I attended an online lecture by the marketing director of Warner Bros Mexico, which was very interesting and outlined the cultural specifics of the Mexican film and cinema industry, which is fundamentally different from ours. Juan Carlos Cedeno explained everything with enthusiasm and I believe he could hold our attention for hours and hours. It was a pity we only had one. The interactive Loreál B2B2C workshop by Laszlo Szabo, a marketing expert with extensive international experience, was also a great help. His human and informal approach created a relaxed atmosphere and he shared a lot of valuable industry experience in an engaging way.”
Štěpán Staněk, student at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics, student senator of the Prague University of Economics and Business
“I took part in the Data Analytics Outdoor School, which took place at Kolínská Bouda in Pec pod Sněžkou. The programme included expert lectures and I was invited to say a few words about the Academic Senate and student activities at the school together with Tomáš Reml from the Faculty of Business Administration.”
