prof. Ing. Vojtěch Krebs, CSc. received the Commemorative Medal of the Prague University of Economics and Business
On Tuesday, November 15th, Prof. Ing. Vojtěch Krebs, CSc. was awarded the Commemorative Medal of the Prague University of Economics and Business.
“There are three things in particular that are important to everyone in their jobs. To be happy at work. To have good results. And to have excellent co-workers. I was very lucky that these three conditions were fulfilled in my case, and that is why I can stand here and receive this award,” said Professor Krebs, who also thanked all his colleagues from his home Faculty of National Economy, other faculties of the Prague University of Economics and Business and other universities with whom he had the opportunity to work during his rich professional life.
Prof. Ing. Vojtěch Krebs, CSc. graduated from the Prague University of Economics and Business, majoring in Business Management Theory. After his studies, he worked at the Prague University of Economics and Business as an assistant professor and completed his professional growth by obtaining a professorship in the field of economic policy.
During his professional career at the VŠE he held a number of positions, he was the head of the Department of Social Policy, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and also the Vice-Rector for Pedagogy.
He was and is a member of the scientific boards of many academic institutions and many national and foreign societies and organizations (Club of Czech Heads, European Institute of Social Security and others). He is a member of the editorial boards of several professional journals. He also uses his extensive experience as an evaluator of the National Accreditation Office for Higher Education.
“However, Prof. Krebs is not only a widely recognized expert and a great teacher, for me – and I dare say, I am sure it will be the same for you – he is above all a friendly colleague always in a good mood and with a distinctive sense of humour.”
