Bachelor of Business Administration Bachelor´s Degree Program

The full-time Bachelor of Business Administration bachelor´s degree program (BBA) taught in English is administrated by The Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Economics, Prague.

The objective of BBA program is to inspire and educate analytically and socially responsible minded business professionals with a broad economic overview and a focus on business management.

The study field is suitable for students with analytical thinking who are interested in the business environment, particularly for those with an emphasis on management and building companies of all sizes and legal forms of ownership, industry and business sectors. Graduates will be able to participate in the execution of economic and managerial functions at mid-management levels in companies and other institutions, where business management education is expected. They mostly start their careers at industrial enterprises, enterprises operating in the energy sector, transport and storage, trade and services or consulting firms or they start their own business.

In terms of BBA diploma recognition, the bachelor´s diploma and the diploma supplement are recognized worldwide in terms of meeting the requirements for entrance into master´s degree programs.

To complete the program, students must pass a study load of 180 European Credits (ECTS). BBA includes courses within the economic base (courses of microeconomics, macroeconomics, computer science, mathematics, statistics and law) and profiling base (business strategy, operations management, corporate finance, performance analysis, marketing, personnel management, entrepreneurship, logistics, management psychology, business ethics, design thinking etc.).

With regard to the BBA admission procedure, the program is designed for students from all over the world who have completed their secondary education. Applicants can either complete an entrance exam held on June 13, 2018 in Prague from Math and English or use the advantage of distance admission. This is done through the essay on given topic. In addition to the admission procedure, the candidates must pass brief motivation interview (in case of distance admission interview via Skype). The tuition fee is 1800 EUR per semester. The application deadline for the academic year 2018/2019 is June 10, 2018.

The program is ready to accept up to 50 most motivated and well prepared students. In academic year 2017/2018 there were more than 140 applicants. Studying in such a small group provides students with more individual approach from tutors that enhances their capability to absorb knowledge and leads to better study results.

There are also plenty of trips and excursions arranged to nearby cities and companies such as ŠKODA AUTO a.s., Plzeňský Prazdroj a.s. brewery and more.

BBA study program is also designed as a good starting point for the most prestigious business orientated study program offered in the Czech Republic CEMS (Master in international management) ranked No. 9th according to both Financial Times and The Economist in the in year 2017.

The FBA, as the only such institute in the Czech Republic, has been conferred with the prestigious EQUIS international accreditation. This accreditation is awarded only to those faculties with top teaching standards, outstanding academics, high quality scientific activities and strong links with business practice.
