Record-breaking Semester Opening Party

On Wednesday, September 27th, the opening party for the academic year 2023/2024, was held by the student association ESN VSE Prague.

Throughout the evening, more than 1500 attendees gathered at Prague’s OX Club, making it one of the historically biggest and most successful opening events at VSE.

A total of 1509 attendees, predominantly consisting of VSE students from all years, faculties, and study programs, including international students, decided to welcome the new semester together at the newly opened OX Club. Many foreign students studying at VSE under the Erasmus+ program also arrived, since they are the primary focus of the association’s activities. Some students wore shirts representing their faculties and new university merchandise. The event also featured shirts from previous VSE welcome events, including this year’s black edition “VSE Legends” and earlier blue and pink designs. Other VSE events were also promoted at the party, such as the upcoming VSE Alumni Homecoming in October, Talent of VSE and Battle for Prague in November, and the VSE Representative Ball in December, where VSE students will have the opportunity to socialize beyond the classroom.

In the renovated and modernized OX Club, located in the former Retro Music Hall nightclub in Prague’s Vinohrady district on Francouzská Street, nine DJs, including international headliners DNF and I.GOT.U, presented their electronic music sets on two stages. Together, they have nearly 490,000 monthly listeners on the streaming platform Spotify. Other performers are also top talents of the Prague music scene and provided great entertainment from the club’s opening at 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM, with hundreds of students still enjoying themselves.
