Esteemed Canadian donor visited his Alma mater

The Vice-Rector for International Relations, prof. Ing. Hana Machková, CSc., and representatives of the VSE International Office welcomed Mr. Wenceslas Jiranek from Montreal at VSE on Wednesday 8th November 2023. 

Mr. Jiranek was born in 1938 in Czechoslovakia and studied at Prague University of Economics and Business. He emigrated to Canada in 1970s due to political reasons. He tried several jobs upon his arrival to Canada. Then he started to work as director advisor in food industry. After few years he and his current partner established his own company Jirstrek Fruits Ltee specialized in importing exotic fruits and vegetables from more than 20 countries all over the world. 

Since 2010, Mr. Jiranek yearly supports 4 students from VSE going for their Exchange in HEC Montreal. Over the years more than 50 VSE students benefited from his generosity. We are extremely grateful that with the help of his donation we are able to open the unique opportunity to study at prestigious Canadian university.
