- How to provide first aid: Students and staff were able to learn how to properly provide first aid in a situation where quick action is needed.
- Emotions and Self: This lecture offered insight into the world of emotions and ways we can better understand and regulate our own emotions.
- How to manage challenging life situations: the workshop provided practical tools for managing stress and challenging life moments.
- Mindfulness : Participants were introduced to techniques that can help them improve focus and reduce stress levels.
Collaboration and support:
The event was carried out in collaboration with professionals from Therapy Among the Trees, the Czech Red Cross, the Academic Psychological Counselling (APC) and the Centre for Students with Special Needs (CSP), who provided valuable advice and support. Mental Health Day also includes a mental health exhibition where students can learn interesting stories from their colleagues that may inspire them to reflect on their own mental wellbeing.
Feedback and impact:
Participants appreciated the opportunity to openly discuss mental health and learn new skills for coping with everyday challenges. This event not only strengthened mental health awareness on our university, but also showed that together we can create a supportive and positive environment for all.
