The Prague University of Economics and Business participates in the RRF Green Deal project

The Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) is actively involved in the RRF Green Deal framework by its Sustainable Education and Environmental Development (SEED) project, which aims to support the revision of existing study programmes and the creation of new lifelong learning programmes and courses focusing on green and digital transformation, as well as on creating VŠE’s on strategy in this field. The RRF Component 7.4 project runs from the beginning of 2024 to the end of December 2025 with an estimated funding of approximately 42 million CZK for the VŠE.

Outputs of the SEED project :

The SEED project will produce:

  • 2 new study programmes
  • 15 new courses
  • 14 new lifelong learning courses
  • A document on Sustainability and Green Transformation Strategy
  • 8 new partnerships

50 existing courses will also be partially upgraded.

Sustainability Strategy for the VŠE

The VŠE Sustainability Strategy will focus especially on energy and waste management, supply chains, the environment on the VŠE campuses and extensive digitalization of learning agendas and processes. Emphasis will be placed on spreading the “Sustainable Mindset” through tasks and activities aimed at developing critical thinking, responsible leadership, working with data, measuring the impact of economic activity and solving real-life case studies.

New study programmes

From September 2025, two new study programmes created within the project will be taught at the VŠE:

  • Sustainability Management at FBA (czech taught)
  • Green Transition and European Competitiveness at FIR

There will also be a new minor in demography and a number of specialized courses.

The SEED project represents a significant step towards sustainable development for the VŠE, which will prepare graduates for the dynamically developing fields related to green and digital transformation.
