VŠE awarded the best business university in Central and Eastern Europe!
The Prague University of Economics and Business has again maintained its position as the best business school in Central and Eastern Europe in the prestigious Eduniversal Best Business School Ranking 2024. The results were announced at a ceremony in Mexico City on November 22.
The award was received on behalf of the University by the Vice-Rector for Education and Quality Assurance, doc. Ing. Pavel Hnát, Ph.D.
At the Eduniversal World Convention 2024 in Guadalajara, Mexico, I had the honour to speak at the Dean’s Insight on the topic of teaching innovation at the VŠE. I met a lot of interesting people there who appreciate the extensive network of international partner schools and the international accreditations that VŠE has received. I also saw how dynamic our competition is, whether it’s innovative approaches to teaching or building new campuses. Although we are one of the current regional and global leaders in economics and management education, it is not a given that we can defend this position in the long term. I am therefore pleased that under the leadership of Rector Dvořák, the VŠE is moving in the right direction.
Within the Central and Eastern Europe region, where schools from 21 countries are evaluated, the VŠE again retained the 1st place. The University of Warsaw – Faculty of Management (Poland) came second and Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary) together with ZSEM – Zagreb School of Economics and Management (Croatia) came third. Other schools that ranked first in their regions include Koç University Graduate School of Business from Turkey for the Eurasia and Middle East region, EGADE Business School – Tecnológico de Monterrey from Mexico for the Latin America region and Harvard Business School for the North America region.
What is Eduniversal rating?
Eduniversal is a global ranking that annually evaluates the top 1,000 business schools from more than 150 countries. Universities are selected by an International Scientific Committee of 12 experts representing each world region. The ranking includes criteria such as degree of internationalisation, academic reputation and quality of educational programmes.
The aim of the ranking is to provide prospective students and the professional community with a global overview of top universities and opportunities for quality management education.
Universities are divided into five categories, referred to as “Palms of Excellence”. VŠE has long-term been ranked in the highest category, which indicates schools with global influence. This classification reflects not only the high academic standards but also the university’s ability to attract students and partners from around the world.
Eduniversal has been compiling its rankings since 2007 and is one of the key sources of information for students seeking the best education in business and management.
Importance of the award for the VŠE
For the VŠE, this award is not only a recognition at the international level, but also a confirmation of its long-term strategic direction. The award demonstrates that the VŠE is an attractive choice for students seeking a top-level education and the opportunity to gain international experience. The award also underlines the university’s ability to maintain its high quality in the face of competition from the world’s best institutions.
We are proud that VŠE has long remained a leader in the region and continues to raise its prestige on a global level.
