VŠEFEST Introduces Bands and Student Organizations from VŠE for the Second Time
On Thursday September 28th at 12:30 p.m. the second year of the student festival of the University of Economics in Prague, VŠEFEST, will take place at Jarov dormitories. Five student bands will perform there and many student organizations will present their activities at stalls. The events is non-alcoholic, open-air and full of interesting main and accompanying program.
VŠEFEST is organized by All Arts Club which wants to prove that students of VŠE are not just good economists and “clever heads”, which is the topic of VŠEFEST this year, but that there are also artists and people with wide interests and good ideas.
The festival’s music program includes the last year winners of the competition “VŠE’s Got Talent” Other Way, its recent winners HighLights as well as three bands presented at VŠEFEST for the first time: rock’n’roll Mr. Stranger, rock-metal Molotov Party. Headliner of the event is Pavel Calta, Czech popsinger. The various VŠE student organizations will also present their activities, participation in which could liven up student life at the University of Economics, Prague. The main purpose of this event is to demonstrate how the students of the VŠE are able to manage various other activities in addition to their studies. These extra activities make a significant contribution towards building strong mutual ties, both to each other and to the VŠE.
The accompanying program of VŠEFEST will include a magician show, a concert of participants of “VŠE’s Got Talent”, a theatre performance, interesting lectures, cashflow zone and others.
The event starts at 12:30 p.m. at the Jarov dormitories (between the III G and F buildings) and admission is free. There will not be any alcoholic beverages sold during the event. However, a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks will be available free of charge. The event will conclude at 8 p.m.
