International Week at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics

The Faculty of Informatics and Statistics (FIS), University of Economics, Prague, is organising the second international week of mobility which takes place from 22 to 25 January, 2018.

FIS will host university lecturers from Australia, Denmark, Ireland and Slovenia. For interested students there will be intensive courses in English in various fields. The courses are designed especially for students of master’s programmes at the University and they are for 3ECTS credits.

Registration for courses was open from Monday 27 November to Friday 15 December 2017.

This year we offer the following courses:

• Chris Brunsdon – Reproducible Spatial Analysis and Mapping in R
• František Sudzina – Enterprise Information Systems
• Jiří Feuerlicht – Cloud Computing: Principles and Technology
• Mojca Bavdaz – Economic Statistics in the Modern Age

The courses take place from Monday (22 January) to Wednesday (24 January). The International Week finishes on Thursday with an event called the International Day.

Visiting teachers will prepare short introductory presentations. The International Day will be held on Thursday, January 25 from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. in classroom RB 210. Staff and students of the University are cordially invited to the lectures. If you have missed the registration for the intensive courses, at least accept an invitation to the International Day.
