International conference INFORUM 2018

The 24th INFORUM conference takes place at VŠE today and tomorrow. INFORUM has become one of the most important events of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. It covers topics related to electronic information resources and its professional use in science, research, education and business.

The conference schedule is divided into theme oriented sections. The focus of the conference is on electronic information sources and their professional use. Individual presentations concentrate not only on the latest developments in the world of e-books and databases, but also on such new technologies and services, as discovery systems, digitalization, Open Access, social media archives, the use of audiovisual media for education and research, as well as on IT education.

Conference attendees also have the opportunity to meet with the representatives of several domestic and foreign firms at an exhibition, which takes place in the vestibule of the Vencovského Aula.

The conference is designed not only for librarians and IT staff from public and professional purpose libraries, but also for scientific and research workers, health care professionals, university teachers and students, specialists in the IT field, as well as for public sector employees.
