Opening of the Academic year 2023/2024 with Ukrainian students – refugees

On Wednesday September 20th, the VŠE International Office organized a welcome barbeque event to celebrate the new academic year with Ukrainian students who have been part of the VŠE Freemover programme. Almost 20 Ukrainian VŠE students or graduates came together to share their summer experiences and discuss their preparation for the upcoming semester. Students appreciated the friendly and informal atmosphere of the event. They used this opportunity to not only speak with their peers but also with members of the VŠE International Office who have been continuously supporting them during their stay.

VŠE Freemover programme

In Spring 2022, the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) admitted 34 Ukrainian students to study as freemovers. These students were unable to continue their studies in economic programmes at Ukrainian universities due to the situation in Ukraine. All students received not only financial and material but also psychological support, along with guidance from the VSE International Office in navigating the Czech academic environment.
