VŠE Ranked 55th in Financial Times
The Financial Times (FT) published the results of the European Business Schools Ranking 2021. The first three places went, as several times in a row, to the French HEC Paris, the British London Business School and the French INSEAD. In the ranking with the 95 best European schools, the Prague University of Economics and Business ranked 55th (50th in 2020 and 55th in 2021),
The FT rankings are based on data provided by universities and their graduates. The four main criteria are MBA programs, Executive Education programs, follow-up master’s programmes in management and the quality of the academic staff (share of PhD teachers, number of foreign teachers and women´s representation). In particular, 14th place in the evaluation of managerial follow-up master’s programmes represented by the Faculty of Business Administration helped the position of VŠE.
This year’s ranking is traditionally dominated by French (22 in total) and British universities (19). Of the Central and Eastern European countries, the Czech Republic, Poland (Kozminski University, 54th place), Russia (Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, 49th, St. Petersburg University, 57th place and IBS-Moscow Ranepa, 58th place) and Hungary (Corvinus University of Budapest , 94th place) are represented.
