VŠE will improve its HR processes thanks to a project from the Operational Programme Employment Plus
Prague University of Economics and Business has received a new project Diverse and Flexible Working Environment from the European Union and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and will therefore be involved in the Operational Programme Employment Plus.
The aim of the project is to set up strategic personnel management at the VŠE in Prague with the aim of retaining talent and developing the potential of employees on parental leave and caring for children, which will lead to the development of diversity and flexibility. The project responds to the specificities of a public university with an emphasis on internationalisation and covers three key areas:
HR strategy: onboarding and talent management
The aim is to set up a transparent and effective strategic human resources management. Therefore, we will create an HR strategy for VŠE, in which we will focus on defining the objectives and tools for achieving it. This will also result in a fundamental regulation – the VŠE Career Policy. In line with the preliminary findings of the Equal Opportunities Audit, we will focus special attention on onboarding, effective employee feedback and talent management. An important target group for this part of the project will be heads of departments and other units and the development of their people skills.
Flexible forms of work
On the basis of the preliminary findings of the Equal Opportunities Audit and in the context of the new legislation, a detailed analysis of the possibilities and limits of flexible forms of work will be carried out in relation to the needs of employees. Within the framework of the project, changes will be made to the Working Regulations and the internal wage regulations and information will be prepared in a clearer form for the employees of the VŠE.
Maternity and parental leave management system
In collaboration with Gender Studies, we will develop a strategy for managing maternity and parental leave to maintain the continued integrity of career development for parents and women in particular. The strategy and the measures taken will include both networking opportunities and information on how not to lose contact, especially with established research teams in the case of academics.
The basic building block of the project will be the development of the HR strategy of the VŠE, which will be followed by the modification of the existing HR regulations and the development of new ones. The project will also include the development of training and guidance for new and existing staff to help them become more efficient in the HR processes at the VŠE.
The project is conducted at the VŠE in Prague from 1.10.2023 to 30.9.2025. The project consists of an initial analysis, strategy development, implementation and final evaluation.
