International week 2025

The 9th International Week took place in January, bringing the widest range of intensive courses to date and significantly increasing its attendance. Classes were held from 20 to 22 January, with a final meeting with visiting professors on 23 January to share experiences and impressions from the week.

Intensive courses and international teachers

Unlike regular courses, the courses were characterised by a high level of intensity and an interactive form of teaching. In just three days, the students absorb a lot of new knowledge, while the visiting professors have to find the most effective way to pass it on. Each participant chooses one course and receives 3 ECTS credits for successful completion.

Despite organisational challenges, including illness, lost personal belongings or delayed flights of some lecturers, the whole week was a success. The visiting professors included experts from Taiwan, India, Chile, USA, UK, Germany and Poland.

Positive feedback from students

Students appreciated the quality of the teaching and the expertise of the lecturers. Feedback often praised the practical examples, the international perspective and the interactive format of the teaching. The main motivation for participation was the desire to broaden professional knowledge, interest in current topics and the opportunity to earn 3 ECTS credits. Despite the demanding schedule, the students successfully managed all the duties associated with the intensive teaching.

Interest in International Week is growing rapidly

This year’s edition attracted 361 students, which represents a twofold increase compared to last year. International Week is thus becoming a popular part of the academic calendar, proving that high-quality, practically oriented teaching with an international focus is very attractive to students.
