Record attendance at Gaudeamus: VŠE recorded a huge interest in economics
The Gaudeamus trade fair held in Prague was extremely successful for the Prague University of Economics and Business in Prague (VŠE). This year, a record in attendance was set when the fair attracted almost 16,000 prospective students, the highest in its history. It is particularly encouraging that of this number, more than 70% of the visitors expressed interest in studying economics.
Interested students had the opportunity to learn more about the wide range of study programmes offered by the VŠE. A great attention was paid to foreign language programmes, which are becoming increasingly popular at the VŠE and attract students from all over the world. This trend confirms the growing interest in international education and the need for students to prepare for the global job market.
Gaudeamus was also an opportunity for the VŠE to showcase its innovative approaches to teaching and research. Visitors had the opportunity to meet academic staff and students from each faculty who shared their experiences and provided valuable information about life and study at the university. Teachers from secondary schools were also given the chance to find out more about our VŠExpedition programme for secondary schools.
We thank everyone who attended the fair and look forward to welcoming new students in the upcoming academic year.
