Representatives of VSE joined the fifth edition of CZEDUCON conference
Representatives of VSE International office joined the fifth edition of CZEDUCON conference that is focused on international higher education. The conference was organized by the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS) on November 21-23 in Brno. It is the largest event of its kind in Central Europe, welcoming hundreds of Czech and international participants and offering wide range of lectures and workshops.
The aim of CZEDUCON is creating a platform for the development of international cooperation in the higher education sector and to help to establish a space where experience can be shared and challenges raising from internationalization can be discussed.
The main part of the conference was inaugurated by the Czech Minister of Education Mikuláš Bek, the President of Czech Rectors‘ Conference Milena Králíčková and the President of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Piet Van Hove. More than 40 fascinating lectures were proposed, VSE contributed to the ones dedicated to the Erasmus promotion activities on social media and introduced new tools that help students with picking up the ideal destination of their study-abroad exchange (Erasmus Picker). VSE members also shared their experience during a panel discussion about acquiring and retaining applicants, providing targeted supportive services for international students and developing a network of ambassadors and alumni.
Internationalization is one of the VSE’s long-term priorities and we believe that events like this help us move towards this goal.
