Researchers’ Night at VŠE

The last Friday in September belonged to science and knowledge at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE). As part of the pan-European event Researchers’ Night, VŠE opened its doors to the public and offered a fascinating insight into the world of economics, management and modern technology. This year, the 19th annual national event attracted a record 100,000 visitors to educational and research institutions across the Czech Republic!

Researchers’ Night at VŠE

This year’s theme was ‘Transformation’. We prepared over 40 lectures and other activities in Prague, which attracted approximately 450 visitors, including groups from secondary schools. Two lectures were even streamed online.

The Faculty of Management in Jindřichův Hradec also participated in the Researchers’ Night and welcomed almost 100 visitors. Together we streamed several lectures from Hradec to Prague, and vice versa. In total, VŠE addressed over 550 people interested in science and research with the topics of management, economics and business.

What attracted the visitors?

Popular topics included lectures on artificial intelligence, changes in finance and investing, and lectures that focused on self-development. Feedback from attendees was very positive. Visitors to the Researchers’ Night particularly appreciated the variety of topics and the quality of the lectures. For those who could not attend the event in person, recordings of 2 lectures dedicated to AI and media formats are now available:

Researchers’ Night at the VŠE proved once again that management, economics and related fields can be fascinating and accessible to the general public.

We are already looking forward to the 20th anniversary edition, which is bound to bring many new learning experiences.
