Summer school: The University of Texas at Austin at VSE

From June 7 to July 13, the International Office VŠE (OZS) is hosting a Summer School for our partner school, The University of Texas at Austin. A total of 72 undergraduate and graduate students are participating in the intensive 5-week program. The students have blocks of classes with American and Czech teachers in the morning and the afternoons are dedicated to field trips.

The Bachelor’s program focuses on Management in Prague, where the main focus of the classes is international business, management, or coaching. The Master’s programme in Accounting in Prague includes lectures in International Accounting Policies and Procedures or Starting Business in Europe. A total of 4 guest American professors and 4 Czech lecturers are teaching both groups.

The accompanying afternoon program for students includes a look into Czech companies and institutions, during the stay, they will take excursions to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Škoda Auto and Pivovar Kozel. This is a unique opportunity for students to complete their picture of the Czech Republic.

The Summer School for Students from The University of Texas at Austin is a regular annual event hosted by OZS that has been running since 2009.
