Term of Office of New Rector Begins

The Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) has a new rector since April 1, 2022. Doc. Petr Dvořák, the current Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, takes office after Prof. Hana Machková, who has led the university for two terms since 2014. Petr Dvořák was elected by the Academic Senate of the university in the autumn of 2021. He was subsequently appointed by the President of the Czech Republic for four years, until March 2026. The inauguration ceremony will take place on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 11 a.m. in the Vencovský Auditorium.

A new team of vice-rectors will participate in the management of VŠE together with the Rector. Their names and relevant competencies will be announced on Monday, April 4, after discussion by the Academic Senate of VŠE.
