VŠE and Business Leaders Forum signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

On 17 September 2024, a Memorandum of Cooperation on Corporate Sustainability was signed between VŠE and the national platform Business Leaders Forum (BLF).

The memorandum was signed by the Rector, Assoc. Ing. Petr Dvořák, Ph.D., together with Mgr. Michaela Stachová, Director of BLF.

What does the memorandum concern?

The Memorandum of Cooperation between the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) and Business Leaders Forum (BLF) represents a significant step towards strengthening the topic of corporate sustainability in both academic and business environments. This long-term cooperation will bring a number of benefits for both parties and especially for the students of the VŠE.

BLF is committed to providing VŠE and its students with access to valuable resources and opportunities. These include free invitations to BLF events, tickets to the prestigious ESG Leadership Conference, ESG consultancy and expert support for Green Deal and ESG focused study programmes. In return, the VŠE commits to organise thematic workshops and Hackathon for BLF members and to communicate BLF events.

The two institutions also share a common goal of creating a Lean In Talent development program for female students of the VŠE. This program aims to support talented female students in developing their skills, expanding their network and maximizing their potential. This memorandum thus creates a strong foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation.

What is the Business Leaders Forum?

Business Leaders Forum is a national platform for responsible and sustainable business leaders. For over 30 years it has been helping to fulfil the aspects of sustainability and responsibility in the Czech Republic and is also part of the international organisation CSR Europe.

BLF helps companies with its expertise to understand and implement ESG rules and connects companies to share their experiences and ideas.

As part of its activities, it also organises the ESG Leadership Conference, during which it presents corporate leaders, personalities with the Czech Sustainability Leader award. This award is one of the most prestigious sustainability awards in the Czech Republic.
