@lusimka07 spent her last semester in Lisbon at NOVA School of Business and Economics & she shared with us the 3 best and worst experiences about her exchange!🇵🇹
✨Traveling - Portugal is a beautiful country with amazing places to visit and also a great destination to tour Spain and the surrounding islands around Portugal at a very reasonable price.✈️
✨People - I found it a bit difficult to find my people at uni but I had huge luck when it came to finding the best roommates in a 7-bedroom flat and meeting amazing people at local events organized for Erasmus students. We all got along pretty well. Surprisingly, I also met one of the best people that I am still in contact with during the last few days of my stay.❤️
✨Surfing - If you´re eager to start your surfing journey, Lisbon and its beaches are a great location to start. I fell in love with this activity and had a lot of fun doing it. The only thing I regret is not going more often.🏄🏽♀️
✖️Accommodation – Although the company in my flat, location, and even the apartment facilities were mostly perfect, there was a major problem with the renovations on the floor above us resulting in a lot of distracting noise and clutter falling into our room from the ceiling for several months making my housing experience slightly uncomfortable.🏠
✖️Tourists – Lisbon is a pretty popular tourist destination therefore the streets were always very crowded, especially when the summer was approaching. It made it difficult to travel around the city mainly because of public transport congestion.🎒😵💫
✖️Train strikes – Even tho public transport in Lisbon is very dense and one could say in most cases also pretty reliable, one big problem was train strikes that occurred frequently during my time there. The problems manifested themselves in either completely canceled lines for a few days, or a restriction to a few trains a day, resulting in very crowded train compartments.🛤️🥱
